On our first day in Matoshinos, Portugal, we started the classes at 9:00.
First, the Portuguese showed us around the school. Afterwards, we took part in an activity where we had to talk with the other students to find people with certain characteristics (lefties, with braces, with tattoos…). This way we ended up knowing each other a little bit more. Next, a group of girls from the Tourism cycle presented their school and country. Then we worked in mingled teams on a workshop about interior design. At midday, we had lunch in a nearby restaurant, where we tried some Portuguese traditional dishes such as ‘alheira’. In the afternoon, it was our turn to introduce our school and country. Additionally, both countries presented what we have been doing in the school about how to improve some of the 17 SDGs in our own cities. Last activity in our programme consisted of creating a logo about one of the SDG’s in international teams.Since we finished early today, and it was not raining, we had some free time to visit some of the most important monuments of the city: Tragédia no mar, She change, Forte de São Francisco Xavier, Laternenturm von Senhor do Padrão…. We finished the day going to dinner at a Kebab.
We enjoyed this day a lot as it was fun to meet new people. We hope to enjoy the days we have left with the same intensity.
We already want it to be tomorrow!!!
