Day 2 - Saint Georges Day and working on our art pieces

Our second day hosting here in Manresa has again been an extraordinary day. Today, 23rd of April, is Saint George’s Day. Here in Catalonia, this is a very special day, we celebrate it by giving roses to our loved one. Additionally, the 23rd of April is also the day of the book. That means that the streets of towns and villages are full of stalls selling books and roses. We wanted to make sure our Lithuanian friends enjoyed this spacial day, so we’ve started the day with a representation of a play retelling the story of Saint George, the knight, and how we saved the village from the dragon.

After that, we have worked on our part pieces made with recycled materials and that will be part of the final art installation on Friday. At around 11, we have come out of school to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere on the streets of Manresa, full of books and roses.

We have worked a little more on our art pieces before breaking for lunch.

In the afternoon, we have continued with our art installation: painting, cutting, building, spraying,... creating.
