Day 5 in Lithuania - Cooking Sustainable food, Presentations and Exploring Kaunas.

 After a weekend with our host families, we returned to school. 

We started the day with a workshop on using herbs in the kitchen and a presentation about different local dishes of different Lithuanian regions, made with local produce.

After that, international teams were created and each group had to cook 2 healthy dishes, one from Lithuania and one from Spain (Catalonia). The exchange was great as everyone learned a lot about cooking and about both countries.

After cooking, we had time to eat all the nice food. We were very proud of the results.

We had a short break after eating, and when we returned to the school premises, it was time to present the work done prior to coming to Lithuania. Furthermore, we presented our analysis of what students eat at break times, and how healthy and sustainable our choices are. We also presented our proposals for creative and healthy meals. Finally, we showed our 3D designs on how we could transform our canteen into a much more sustainable dining area.



In the afternoon, we went to Kaunas old town to explore the city center and its beautiful streets, parks and squares with an exploration activity in international teams.

It was a very busy day, but we enjoyed every minute.
